Course Goal: The goal of this course is to provide the practical training necessary to
reasonably, safely, and effectively operate TASER 10 energy weapons, utilizing
comprehensive hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios, increasing opportunities for
successful outcomes.
Target Audience: Any agency TASER 10 energy weapon operator.
Delivery Method: In-Person (after completing the online pre-work)
Instructors: Currently certified TASER Instructor.
Learning Objectives:
• Describe the technology, nomenclature, and operation of the TASER energy
weapon(s).
• Identify the recommended care and troubleshooting techniques for TASER energy
weapon(s).
• Identify Smart Use Considerations for TASER energy weapons.
• Identify the Tactical Considerations associated with TASER energy weapon use.
• Identify and demonstrate proper probe placement and preferred target areas.
• Recall factors that influence the TASER energy weapon’s incapacitating effects.
• Demonstrate and apply safe handling of TASER energy weapon(s).
Skill Demonstration:
• Deploy seven (7) live cartridges at the preferred target areas of a static target.
• Deploy a minimum of five (5) HALT cartridges during a minimum of two (2)
reactionary drills
